Karell T. McDaniel serves as the Outpatient Treatment Coordinator at Front Steps Services. He is an honorably discharged veteran of the United States Marine Corps with thirteen years of continuous service. It was in the military that he began counseling individuals with alcohol and other substance use disorders in 1983.
He is a Licensed Independent Chemical Dependency Counselor and Certified Clinical Supervisor (LICDC-CS) with 40 years of experience. In addition to being an accomplished author since 2004, having published 6 books, he is also the founder and Executive Director of Life Recovery Ministries, a non-profit 501 (c) (3) organization providing faith-based recovery support services since 2006. His organization’s mission is to “build bridges between the faith community and behavioral health providers, to better assist people living with mental health and substance use disorders.”
In addition to providing professional Chemical Dependency Counselor Assistants (CDCA) educational services since 2011 and has successfully trained over 1,000 students. Reverend Karell T. McDaniel has served as the Chairman of the Cuyahoga County Alcohol, Drug Addiction and Mental Health Services (ADAMHS) Board’s, Faith-based sub-committee from 2012-2015. During his service he was the 2013 Recipient of the ADAMHS board Faith Based Involvement Award.
Pastor Karell T McDaniel, LICDC-CS has established the Recovery Church, currently at St. Joseph’s Commons where he conducts weekly Sunday worship services, and Recovery Bible Study each Tuesday evening to agency clients, residents and the community at large.
