Sherri Brandon, MNO/MSSA, CDCA, has served the homeless community for more than 20 years in roles
that have allowed her to touch the lives of hundreds of people suffering from severe mental illness,
chemical dependency, domestic violence and incarceration. Ms. Brandon has served as Executive
Director of Front Steps Housing and Services since 2008, where she has made significant strides in
improving the organization’s structure, operational effectiveness and programming to better meet the
evolving needs of the homeless community in Northeast Ohio. Under her direction, the organization
underwent a successful change in both name and service model from transitional housing to a
permanent, supportive housing model that serves chronically homeless individuals and families.
Through accreditations with CARF and certifications from MAHS and Medicaid, Ms. Brandon has
strengthened Front Steps’ foundation through strong, relevant programs and comprehensive case
management services to clients and the community. In 2018 she led the effort to secure grant funding
that will allow for the construction of a new housing facility by 2020, which will ensure Front
Steps’ future as a critical resource at the forefront of the fight to end homelessness.
