Alumni Success Stories

Since opening our doors in 1986, our organization has helped more than 3,500 individuals and families in Cuyahoga County.

While most alumni have gained the skills necessary to regain their independence, they remain connected to the Front Steps family. All are welcome to participate in select programs and events, and some have even formed an alumni group.

The Front Steps Housing and Services Alumni Group meets to discuss the progress in their lives, give each other support and brainstorm ways to give back to Front Steps. Many alumni return to teach programs on-site, talk to residents or even organize fundraisers that benefit Front Steps.

Georgia and Delilah

Georgia came to Front Steps with her daughter in 2010 and they began the healing process as a family.

After suffering from addiction and living out of her car, Leslie knew it was time to regain control of her life. She found her way to Front Steps in March 2011.

Piccola came to Front Steps in 2008, and with the support of Front Steps staff and residents, finished her bachelor’s degree in social work from Cleveland State University (CSU).

Front Steps helped provide Will a roof over his head, and with stable housing Will was able to take advantage of other services we offer including Health and Wellness, Group Fitness, Morning Reflection and Art Therapy.
